NRSAG Committee Members

Amongst other members, the committee previously included Dennis Grainger, a former NR employee who ran the group until he had to retire due to ill health, the late Bill Penman Brown and the late Brian Peart.

Peter Camponi

Co-Chair

Now retired but always available for providing financial and planning assistance to small/medium sized local companies on an ad-hoc basis. Has a financial background working in various manufacturing industries. Peter was granted shares as a saver and a mortgage holder with NR, and received dividends up to and including October 2006. Met Adam Applegarth at a seminar held in Gateshead. Peter is particularly interested in the legal argument in regards to our case rather than the moral argument.

Sue Gibbons

Co-Chair

Bought a number of shares in 2007 to show support to a good local institution and thought they were rock solid. Sue is an ex civil servant now self-employed and slowing down due to retirement which is imminent, hence feels it's time for her to do a bit more and really feels like this cause is a fair one. Yes shares go down as well as up, but when they get taken away due to worldwide events and the assets are sold then some payment should be made, many people living in the North-East invested in Northern Rock and this money for many was their savings.

Mo Majid

Secretary

Experienced Company Director working in the packaging industry with a background in local government finance. Held a substantial amount of NR shares and has been involved with the NRSAG as a committee member since 2019. Holds a Association of Accounting Technicians degree.

Pradeep Chand

Advisor

Former finance director who has been involved with NRSAG from the start. Pradeep switched his entire self-invested personal pension into NR shares in 2005 and is the main architect of the letter sent to Boris Johnson in 2020 citing “Unintended Consequences”. Pradeep has agreed to remain involved with the group on an advisory role, which is much appreciated as he has a ton of knowledge about the situation. Pradeep has a Monetary Economy degree from the London School of Economics and is a Chartered Management Accountant.

Andrea Middlemiss

Committee Member

Has been working as an Administration Officer in the National Health Service for the last 35 years.
